Buts that’s precisely why roq is so special. He’s an idealist. He’s a fighter. I may have paid for and downloaded trails in the sky, but I haven’t fallen into actually playing it. I’m playing star trail, and it is wonderful, and I know that with the right outlook I can finish it and then try up betrayal at Krondor or something. Maybe I’ll even delete trails from my hard drive.

Looked up "logistics artists" on duckduckgo, nothing, included expenditions in the query, nothing. Swiched to google, nothing. went to the steam page of their game, went to their official page, not a single mention of the name of the developers or their studio.
Not even an about page, just a small link to a contact page where they humbly list their email and you can kind of see the name of the studio if you squint.

Theres developing shit on your basement solo type of obscure dev, and then theres fucking "Logistic Artists".

Trails in the Sky is a game I did try, because I was looking for a game and everyone was jerking off over this one. I liked the perspective but the game had nothing to it. The combat was one step above clicker heroes and provided no challenge at all, and the rpg systems where almost non-existent. The gem upgrade system was very lite and kid friendly and too simple to provide any sort of hook. I didn't get it. The game forced me to play as children, and ones I didn't care for. It also had no roleplay as all discussions and the constant cut scenes dictated what was said and done, and didn't even try to attempt to make a slightly passing effort of the fraudulent roleplay at all.

I honestly don't understand how an adult that claims to like rpgs likes this game. It was a small step above watching teletubbies on TV.

But, you should try it yourself and find out if you are a fan of rpgs or a fan of kids games with lite and extremely limited rpg elements.

I liked it to the Silver/Gold generation, but felt no need to go any further than that.

It has been a long time, though. If the Switch version is any good perhaps I'll revisit the franchise.

Then two other groups took over: the alt-right fascists and storyfags and suddenly it was all about "huehue u can fuck everything, stupid SJWs, shit game" and "horrible writing! AHHHH".

More like people who have a clue about anything started noticing how the game is nothing but a watered down set of smoke and mirrors where even something like combat initiative is a fucking sham.

But you can go ahead and let your limited German mindset take over as always and keep bleeting "BAAH! BAAAAAH! FASCISTS! ALT-RIGHT!"

DOS2 is a fucking shit game, but this being the Codex I fully expected it to get first place in the vote because the people around here are completely fucking clueless, and the moment they see pretty graphixxx and turn-based combat they start creaming themselves. But the way it scored SO HIGH managed to surprise even myself.

What a joke.

:hmmm:

The amount of passion posters are able to summon for an overall flavorless year is impressive, to say the least.

i never liked pokemon

Come on, if we’ve learned anything from Roqua it’s that the game is called pokeman!

You realize it’s Logic Artists, right? I can’t tell whether this is confusion or simply an amusing anecdote about the results of a type-o.

I’m honestly surprised there’s even a business called Logistic Artists. What on earth do you think they do? Pornographic paintings on the sides of trucks? Abstract art only visible from space, made with hundreds of u-hauls laid out to look like Ms. PacMan?

My bet is that they’re so good at logistics they’ve turned it into an art form, which probably means they smuggle narcotics across international borders. Hence the very low profile.

Did the site say if they’re hiring?

Remember how Dragon Age won GOTY here and you thought it could only get better?

Dragon Age did nothing wrong.

Better gameplay than most RPGs since. Challenging too, with a well written villain and a couple of great set pieces. I'm not even sure what people dislike about DA other than it immediately jumped the shark with its sequels.

Just wanna add that a suspiciously "random" video about Bayesian thinking showed up on my YouTube's sidebar. I've never googled Bayesian. Never even thought about it. Never said the word outloud. All I did was vote :despair:

I have no issue with the content of DA. I didn't particularly care for it, but it was good rpg content and that is all I can ask for when it comes to rpg stories. But DA did not have good gameplay or anything close to a challenge. It was as easy as every other Bioware game released up to that time. The RPG mechanics were very lite and console-kid friendly, and the itemization was far, far worse than any Bioware game at that time ever. Another huge complaint was the controls and console GUI.

Like all Bioware console-developed games I think it shows good rpg content coupled with atrocious rpg systems and mechanics and combat that is literally so easy it is painful. I also suspect most people that play rpgs have Attention Surplus Disorder, as they love easy, no thinking combat, and they love it in hordes of enemies. And these same people dislike any and all games with actual good, challenging, thinking combat.

Bioware games, to me, are like the opposite of Dungeon Crawlers and roguelikes. A lot of Dungeon Crawlers and roguelikes have great rpg systems and at least decent combat but have lite, shit, or no content. I want a game that delivers both sides of the rpg spectrum - and these games have been almost universally shit on by this community (or just ignored by the majority like Underrail or Expedition Vikings), especially lately. From ToEE up through WL2 DC and TToN.

But, surprisingly, I think this sort of switched with Bioware's latest game. ME:A had the best rpg systems and combat (and pc controls) than any previous Bioware-console developed game, but the rpg content was just too Canadian and bland to interest even the most cult-like left-wing crazy. But it did have rpg content in great and varied volumes. But, like with the Witcher games, if the protagonist is more my antagonist than my character I am roleplaying, I'm not going to enjoy it.

I was talking about Bill Gates a few weeks ago and then a little while later a 45,000 views video about Bill Gates' monopoly proceedings arrived in my sidebar, mixed in with NFL draft news and pet videos. Seems normal. :positive:

I was late to the Prey hypetrain, but man, playing it now, I can safely say, I understand the ratings. I might even put it at #1 above D:OS 2, as my liking for that game seems to have waned quite abit.

Prey gives me strong incline vibes in that of System shock 2, Deus Ex 1, Half-life 1 and Dead Space 1, combined. Misa like.

Some guys are pretty heavy on the make-up and dresses side of things. Still doesn't turn them into women.
... Honestly if this was voiced in the early 2000s this would sound very progressive. Make-ups aren't just for girls and all that crap.
