My PC says:

Boppin
Contra
Deus Ex (GMDX)
Doki Doki Literature Club
Eternal Darkness
F.E.A.R.
Fallout 1.5
F-Zero GX (no Story Mode)
Half-Life
Killer7
Metal Slug 3
Metroid Prime
Obduction
Prey
Quern - Undying Thoughts (only half-finished because boring)
Riven
Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment
StarCraft: Mass Recall (Broodwar campaign in SC2)
The Ur-Quan Masters
The Void (only half-finished because bugs)
Thief
Thief 2 (self-imposed Ironman)
To the Moon
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines
Viewtiful Joe
What Remains Of Edith Finch

Lots of emulated GC games...
I also would have liked to finish Hollow Knight before the end of the year, but that game is huge and requires a couple more days.

Nothing. I think I don't even like video games anymore.

I've come to the realization that I spend more time reading about newfags bitching about games than I do actually playing any. But it's nice to see that so many people are actually playing them, and even some really good ones from this list so I guess it's all okay.

I made myself a pair a pair of pants to stop my thing from flopping around. I fear I might get bored soon though. We'll see. I did hack a Zingarian in half (a chick) with a stone sword a few hours ago. I thought that was kind of neat. Just one swoop. I felt kind of bad but she hit me first.

Shit tier: Dead Rising 4, Tyranny Bastard's Wound, NFS Pay-or-get-fucked-back, Destiny 2, Wolfenstein TNC. Luckily I did not spend money on any of these aside from Tyranny DLC :positive:

There's probably more but these are for sure:

Mafia 2
Dark Souls 2: SoftFS
Resident Evil 7
Yakuza 0
Until Dawn
Binary Domain
Evil Within 2
Galerians
F.E.A.R. Extraction Point & Perseus Mandate
Ace Combat 2
Persona 1
Rage Racer

Enjoyed all except Until Dawn. That one's one of the worst games I've played (games with above Z-grade production values ofc). Time better spent would be actually, you know, watching some good 80s slasher flicks than "playing" this garbage.

Think that's it. The list is getting shorter every year.

I'm bad at this, even without Path of Exile suking out my time (it dominated 2nd half of 2017) but this year was better.
Or I'm just mixing it with 2016 and 2015 games...

-Inquisitor
-Twitcher3 GotY (massive diappointment compared to previous games)
-Neverwinter Night 2 and Mask of the Betrayer
-MDK
-Clive Baker's Undying
-Deus Ex with latest GMDX
-Dark Souls PtdE (I forgot to increase FPS cap and game stuttered like shit despite decent machine)
-Grim Dawn
-Residen Evil 5
-Shadow Warrior 2 (fkn bullet spongy enemies with healthbar like Burdel-lands).
-Fallout 1.5 Resurrection
-Far Cry - Blood Dragon
-Summoner 2
-Might and Magic - World of Xeen
-Tomb Raider - Legends
-Wasteland 2 DC
-Divinity Original Sin classic for all achievements (done)
-Underrail
-Dragon's Dogma - Dark Arisen (need to finish add-on)

Surprisingly - no STALKER mods

Just replayed a bunch of old games. From the top of my head I finished these:

Age of Decadence - Finally got the last version and completed a bunch of playthroughs. Strongest character was probably my dodge-hammer-crafting assassin, ended up joining Meru and smashing pleb skulls while looking mighty stylish. Thief playthrough was fun as well, really enjoyed betraying Glabrio. Expanded temple content was a bit of a let-down though and the game still has some unresolved bugs. Still, it's an amazing game that provides excellent entertainment.

Gangsters: Organized Crime - Replayed a couple of scenarios like South of the River (horribly hand-holding), it was featured in the demo back in the day and I got nostalgic. Gang in the top left actually went bankrupt due to its shitty territory. The scenario with one big dominant gang is also surprisingly easy, the AI doesn't go after your territory and tends to implode on its own, so I just sat in my corner and built a super prosperous free state with casinos, speakeasies and what have you, also converted tenement blocks to department stores and so on. Random maps are more fun, but I need to get into modding the files so I can adjust the police count, all those damn cops turn every single gang-fight into a massacre, 100% no-fun-allowed Sawyer crew.

Grand Theft Auto - Played through it and had a blast, some kind soul modded it for modern machines which was an absolute God-send. Tried to finish all missions and kill frenzies on all maps, but sheeeit, ain't easy! Only managed to clear the first two, then I got repeatedly stuck on the Chinamon map. Was so close once, had like one mission left and then I killed myself by picking rocket launcher instead of flamer blowing myself up like a complete chump. One day maybe. Still drunkenly finished the game of course.

King of Dragon Pass - Completed a long game as a war tribe, good stuff as always. Having the shrine to Maran Gor helps a ton, both with raids and the end-game marriage. I picked Ves Venna as ancestral foe, a pretty solid choice I think, get clan magic for fighting the ice demons and you can go raiding in dark season with no penalty.

Patrician III - Won a game by becoming Alderman, no time limit though, just filthy casual play. Started in Stockholm and filled up the whole city with ironworks and ore smelters. Made yuge bucks by engaging in sneaky piracy raiding towns, manually slogging through the most boring combat ever made against stationary bombardment towers. Made most of my late-game profits by sending expeditions to degoland. Final mission to become Alderman nearly ruined me though, had to build a town from scratch. Way cheaper to just hunt pirates I found.

SimCity 2000 - Made a pretty city and soldiered through to the end. All in all, it was quite peaceful and pleasant, but the game really didn't hold up like I expected it to.

Sword of the Samurai - Finished RK's LP because he got me killed. Great game, should get a new version one of these days. Well, as long as they don't touch the graphics.

Underrail - Played through the game as an Assault Rifle Metal Armor dude dakka-dakking everything, and then as a sneaky pure PSI chap. The latter is definitely the strongest build I think, went mainly for thought control on the psychosis route and owned pretty much every late-game fight. Could also complete the side-quests for Abram and get a ton of juicy lore content.

I also played some online sandbox games and other shit with no "ending," but aside from those:

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain — Best action-based (emphasis on action-based) commando simulator of all time, peccadilloes and Konami fuckery notwithstanding.

Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin — Some steps backward from Dark Souls, but still p. gud for what it is.

Hollow Knight — The best Metroidvania I've played since Super Metroid, and I've played a lot of them. It stands on equal footing with all the genre greats, and I can't think of a single con.

Subnautica — Outstanding undersea survival, exploration, and adventure game. It suffers from some noticeable Unity woes, but manages to be amazing anyway.

KAMI — Challenging pure puzzle game based on a paper-folding theme. It passive-aggressively trolls the player with obnoxiously convoluted puzzles; highly recommended.

Factorio — I've finished Factorio before, but played again with my Steam sidekick this year. Factorio is the greatest game of its genre by far, although I'm still not sure what that genre is.

Avorion — The indie counterpart to EGOSOFT's X series, except it plays far more smoothly. It's a great game for building your ship completely from scratch visually and mechanically, tootling around in space, trading commodities, and blasting shit with lasers.

Distant Worlds: Universe — The best 21st-century space 4X and a worthy quasi-successor to MoO. It's a must-have for lovers of space 4X.

Endless Space 2 — Not the best 21st-century space 4X, but it's the only 4X vaguely patterned after modern Civ-style gameplay flow (at least, I think it is, going by comments I've read) that I've ever enjoyed instead of uninstalling in disgust and booting up SMAC instead.

I thought I didn't finish a single game this last year too, and then I remembered that I finished Cradle like 2 weeks ago.

Nice little game, the soundtrack is beautiful and I regularly listen to some tracks of it.

Started Pillars of Eternity, but that will take a while to finish.

Oh man, I remember this game. Its graphical design is unmistakable.

There's something alluring about Arabian-themed RPGs, but really only Quest for Glory II, this game, and Al-Qadim ever tried it or pulled it off. I know there are a few other somewhat similar games out there, but I sure as shit don't remember what they are.
