The Codex has waited two decades a-decade-and-a-half for the opportunity to select Grimoire as its CRPG of the Year.

Elex and Divinity: Original Sin 2 may be good but their cultural impact could never rival the monumental RPG magnum opus, gaming's magnificent meisterstück, the classic cultural Chef-d'œuvre delivered to us by the Golden Baby: the game to end all games, the legendary Grimwah.

Wow this is the first one of these polls where I haven't played a single game. I actually intend to play some of these but I am waiting.

DoS2: I kickstarted this but I see some mixed reviews which surprised me and is disappointing. I'm gonna wait for the new year, more patches, and maybe some must have mods.

ELEX: I suspect I will hate this game, but I want to try it. I don't like the Gothic series because it is mostly combat and the combat is unarguably shit. Yeah I liked the world building and characters and stuff but that wasn't enough to counter the terrible combat. But with guns and stuff, maybe it will be different. Maybe it would feel like playing Stalker or something? I want to try it but I'm skeered.

Grimoire: I was so excited when I found out about this game but the thread went from being snooty excited people to being sadface people.

Spellforce 3: I read it is RPG and RTS yet not really good at either. I vaguely recall playing the original and I quit because of that reason. Is 3 any better?

Southpark: I read it is a competent RPG, and occasionally amusing. But is that enough?

The others: I haven't heard of most of them and I can tell some of them will be shit just by their names.

Yeah, you should most definitely not focus on melee lol.

They made the character skills/progression worse than in SP1, and I don't particularly like the direction they went with the RTS; everything else is much better though, maybe not the music.
