Yep. But there is still a hope that this remake would be different enough from the Overseer to justify its existence. I give these guys my benefit of doubt, as they seem to be genuine bros.

The idea is that Mean Streets is a real story; The Overseer - is how these events were recounted by Tex to Chelsee; and The Poisoned Pawn - is how they are rerecounted to Count St. Germaine. So perhaps, the unreliable narrator device would be able to make this game interesting and novel enough.

Unfortunately this reminded me that the "new game" is The Poisoned Pawn, aka the remake of the remake.

Le sigh.

They are planning an additional game after Poisoned Pawn ; and said Poisoned Pawn contains apparently also scenes from other games and "new" unique moments, although, yes, it's mostly the Main Streets story.

Poisoned Pawn apparently, is both a remake and the lead-up to set the stage for the "this time it's really the finale" Tex Murphy game.

I am "cautiously" interested.

Very pleased to hear Aaron Conners say they want to make another proper Tex Murphy game after this to round things off - something comparable to The Pandora Directive (but on steroids).

The whole thing is already available for viewing on their channel as well.

The documentary part at the beginning was amazing, showing how Access Software essentially created the whole "FMV with famous actors" fad as well as the new technology that sprang out from it.
