Other than the BASS avatars, they didn't provide a download link. Also they can only be 96x96.

They don't need to be 96x96, but close to it. All my avatars have been around 98x98.

As to download links, one is explicitly for 96x96 and the other posted a link for 96x96 avatars too:

You're in luck, my friend.

I wrote a script that scraped the Heroes Wiki, then resized all images using this command:

for file in *.png; do convert $file -resize 96x96 $file; done

Then to generate the preview:

montage -mode concatenate -tile 10x -background none *.png montage.png

All avatars have transparent backgrounds.
