It might be now, isn't china banning it? That's like 80% of the player base. I mean outside of asia player base was declining, I mean it will still have Korea.

Well, probably that will not lead to an actual ban since Tencent want to publish non-Steam PUBG in China, doing non-Steam H1Z1 in China, and their (almost) own Epic has Fortnite Battle Royale. They probably will make some kind of a censored version.

(And Mail.ru will also publish a non-Steam version of PUBG in Russia. PUBG will grow beyond Steam sooner or later.)

Tecent owns Epic Games? IIRC they were also making moves to take control of Paradox Interactive.

Those fucking chinks really own everything. We should have stopped them sooner.

Guys steam HW survey numbers are unreliable. They're a random sampling and nothing more. If the survey goes out to more Win7 one month and more Win10 users just reject theirs, it'll show a spike in Windows 7 usage while the overall global usage may still be the same. Same with using the HW survey to estimate Linux market share as well.

They're a random sampling...
So like every statistical surveys ever?
No, only like the ones based off random samples. I'd much rather rely on non random-sampled statistics, like sales numbers or other quantified statistics. Add to that steam surveys are sent out to such a negligible percentage of the total userbase, they might as well be pulled from thin air. If it were some annual mandatory survey of all users instead of questionnaires sent via pigeon to 12 people every month, it would be more reliable.

Steam lifehack: do not use steam's community features, or have two separate accounts, one for games, and one for chatting and whatnot. This way you can sell the gaming account without losing your contacts. Valve is using the community features to prevent people from reselling their games and to turn them into hoarders. If you had a separate account for each game, you could trade them freely. DO NOT believe in the fat jew's lies.

What if I'm attached to my hoard ?

When you sell used you undercut developer/publisher profit, which defeat the point of buying it in the first place.

It would be way less of a hassle to just pirate all the shit, instead of bothering with all these accounts and selling.

Then every time you experience positive feelings in connection to your virtual account fully under Valve's control, Gabe Newell is shuffling his hands in a scheming manner, grinning maliciously as you conform to what he's planned for you to do.

Ah, but that way you'd only be able to sell your games once. Instead you could rent your library on a per-hour basis using the Steam Family Share feature!
(with up to however many users it allows simultaneously)

Dear Steam User,

Steam will soon be priced in Israeli New Shekel!

If your Steam wallet has any money in it on the 13th of November, your USD balance will be converted to ILS, at a conversion rate dictated by market value at the time of conversion.

To view your account balance, simply log into your Steam client or the Steam website at http://www.steampowered.com. Once you have logged in, you will see your balance in the upper-right corner next to your account name.

Thanks,

The Steam Support Team

Not sure if good.

Not sure if good.

Steam is now priced in shekels for me. Let's see how it breaks down.

Goddammit, looks like prices are usually slightly higher (~5%) than they were in dollars. :decline: And Bethesda game prices are a lot higher (~20-25%).

Some games aren't available for sale at all now. For example, Wadjet Eye titles. WTF DaveGilbert!

I think devs should set the local prices manually, even if they just Steam's standard currency table.
