Wtf are you mumbling about? CDPR got a lot more from EU for Cyberpunk 2077, so what's your point?

Every sign on heaven and earth point that cyberpunk will be way better and successfull commercially product than elex 2. Still EU tax payer money shouldn't subsidize any businesses -this is a complete decline. Sadly it's a common practice, but that doesn't make it right.

Oh look, an angry little cunt who refuses to take its ELEX.

Oh look an aggressive nazi has polluted the topic. Or equally bad, an eastern germany-russian rape product.

If this is true, it just confirms my suspicions that Elex is Judaic cancer. The EU wouldn't finance it otherwise.
For all the Calaan devoted, check the recipe to upgrade Energy reserves from small to bigger ones and laugh.
Noticed that too. I now have ~400 super-energy-restorers, and with two points in PSI skill and after 3 or 4 things that increased my total energy, I can stunlock and kill basically anything.

The game has now officially gone from "everything is fucking unkillable" to "everything dies if I look at it funny and start shooting first" in the span of a couple of hours, and the fact that there's a trader in Origin ("Central Campsite" or somesuch - to which I've dedicated all my followers, but they still prefer to sit out in bumfuck nowhere for some reason) that sells infinite Elex doesn't really inspire confidence in potential incline either.

However, since the game is hot garbage, I've had to stop playing, at least until some patch fixes the fucked-up quest I'm on.

Do you really think some guy with a yarmulke sits down and looks at all the games eligible to receive funding? It seems like you have a bad case of extreme body hair that can only be removed by Hanlon's razor.

Is anyone playing as a pure mage? Is it doable? Is it fun? Or is it an afterthought in a game that wants you to swing weapons?
It's very doable, arguably overpowered(though perhaps not compared to ranged energy weapons, which appear to be even more absurd). That's with PSI though, I think berserker magic is less powerful. The trick is getting to a high level without wasting points in all the other skills, but once you learn the game mechanics it's not really that difficult to get to level 10 or even 15 without investing in any attribute points. You'll want those attributes for Int and spell-related skills.

That said, it's a fairly bland way of playing the game. The black hole spell is the most powerful and also the coolest spell you'll get, but you'll be using it for the rest of the game.
Sounds exactly like the Gothic games. :/

Yeah, it's ironic. PB did magic best in Gothic 1, mostly due to low hp enemies which made several spells viable. Since then, starting with G2, it's been all downhill. Either magic is useless due to hp bloat(G2), or there's just a single damage/mana efficient spell(G3, Risen series, ELEX).

Countries subsidize art, news at 11. Go burn library of congress or some museum where you live.

Also "EU tax payer shouldn't subsidize any business" means creating state companies for all the things EU does. Like building roads, airports, stadiums, etc, managing bank transfers between countries, communication, sending sattellites to space, researching stuff.

It's not only insane, it would also make EU more communist.

Completely missinterpreted what i was saying. I'm for free market, not for communist regulation lol. Actually it was the communist/socialist countries that were among the first in the world to establish ministries of culture, because culture was a thing too important in developing the future homo sovieticus to left it alone.

Ideally no business whether roads, or airports or arts should be subsidized. It should be managed by private companies. Still with current system subsidizing basic utilities like roads, waste sewage etc. is completely different matter[i'm semi fine with subsidizing these] than subsidizing art, the former are just mainteneance stuff that doesn't influence the society, whereas the latter should be a free expression area, where state shouldn't interfere and influence. The people should choose freely with their money who they want to patron, and the money shouldn't be taken by the government and spent on art that they wouldn't otherwise patron.

It is not malice, just their nature.
I kind of wish I lived in a country where ELEX is a national treasure. The rest of the EU turns and salutes PB and Germany now here is a bunch of Large Bags of Money.

Im sure the EU gave money to Uwe Boll for his movies too. Quality is not a concern to the EU.
Quite the opposite. They only fund politically correct garbage, if they can help it.

Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire
for now the only certain thing of cyberpunk is the release date: 2077

CDProjekt RED current track record suggest a game of a quality, whereas PB suggest the same reheated meal of mediocre quality.

We know very little about CP 2077. It could be good, but only provided that CDP RED introduces drastic changes to the itemization and character development systems compared to TW3. So far CDP RED has been going the declined route from excellent itemization (TW1) to terrible instant gratification and level scaled junk, with "unique" equipment being obsolete or becoming obsolete almost immediately. Chardev is terribad also, with lots of levels that have very little (+5% skills )increments to offer (except the ugly level scaled damage/DR).

At least ELEX did the itemization right. And Chardev, while not perfect or elaborate, seems to serve its main function of providing a sense of progression and journey.

The sales and praise for Witcher 3 all over different game media beg to differ. The problem with art is either you want to make commercial art that appeal to masses, or you want a niche art that appeal to a very narrow group. The former is all around better investment, hence it should get more money from taxpayers so at least there will be a bigger probability that the tax investment repay itself and not go to waste. Witcher 3 was admittably very polished game with everything all around good, and some things exceptional like graphics. For aRPG it did excellent job, and even grasped most of niche RPG gamers. Sure there were some complaints, but even on the codex the den of mentally ill, autistic unsufferable people it was choosen in the poll as best RPG of 2015[or best rpg of all times? dont remember exactly].

That's exactly what subsidies are for though. You don't(or rather, shouldn't) subsidize stuff that's naturally profitable. You subsidize shit like public transport in outlying villages, because no private corporation is gonna be assed doing it since there's not profit in it. I.e. you subsidize the shit without mass appeal.

Ebessa Dispute would have been a nice C&C feature if everything about it wasn't bugged and broken. Some people just have that quest unclosed like me, while others get results actually opposite to what they were doing, like outlaws winning while player worked against them or whole place destroyed even if you didn't give the part and armed city with robocops :shittydog:

I didn't understand what happened in my game either, I tried giving separatists a chance but they joined with outlaws in rebellion, although I didn't give outlaws any guns and weakened them in all quests. In the end clerics just painted everything red with murderbots when idiots rebelled and city left standing with clerics & berserkers, sooooo I guess this is fine.

I don't think its ethical when my taxes go to things that i wouldn't otherwise want to patronage, so at least when they forcefully take them from me, i want them at least to be an investment that brings profit. Without ministry of arts, and forced taxation on arts, people could sponsor anything they want, even the most worthless shit, and i would be fine. But government should invest the money in something that is promising, and can bring monetary gains. Very expensive art that appeals to very narrow group, should be left to be sponsored by private individuals, since it's very niche.

Just think about subsidies for witcher 3 or cyberpunk as an investment to make a better game even better, because the devs will have more money, to bring their best ideas, which we know they are full off.

I'm Polish and I very much wanted the Witcher to be good. I freaking LOVED TW1.
And sure, some aspects of TW3 are good. But itemization is terribad and pure, distilled decline.
Chardev... CDP RED never really got this right. But, comparatively speaking, this system was most impactfull in TW1. In TW 3 it's far worse.

Anticipation to what, to fight high level monsters with the AI of a brick wall

This is almost every fight with a high level monster, there's no challenge when you get to their level, you need to fight them under leveled just to give them a chance, it's pathetic and whoever think this abomination represents what good gameplay is should hang himself .

Now look at Gothic 2, 16 years ago.

Nearly the same, except it's less tedious (you could say less demanding and easier, kinda true) and animations look slightly more fluent. Also, for what I've seen mobs in Elex have ridicoulus ammount of health.
Why? It's like you could half nearly all of those and make game more fun just by that.

16 years of technology advancment and they released this shit. This is unacceptable. For its time Gothic 2 had mediocre-good combat, ELEX for its has terrible.

Those two Albs in front of the entrance are pretty forbidding and the damn cut scene mig

ht as well scream “come back later when you’re less of a weakling.”
Accidentally got to this monstrosity yesterday, agree with you. I think you can even kill them with what you have found there.

True, I saw someone claimed that he killed SludgeSomething (where sword in stone) with a starter stick, spent 15 minutes for this with Duras, said without NP it would be possible too, just longer, said it quite slow mob.

John Walker says:

“So, if i understood this right, really liking Elex makes me a misogynistic, sexist, racist evil piece of scum, because the protagonist is clearly an embodyment of toxic masculinity. Alright.”
Goodness gracious me, what a lot of things I didn’t say all in one place!
I said that the player character was achingly generic and bland. You imagined the rest for yourself. You may want to wonder why.

Can someone ask him, if by any chance PC would not be so "generic and bland" if it was women, and especially black women. Just ask him.

None of you faggots noticed strong Outcast vibe?
I remember, I walked past CD with Outcast somewhere around 1997 +-1. But I decided to buy something different back then, and but Outcasy later... and it never happened. :(

Another Dream Land citizen lol.

Did you know that post service is non profit business? Army too. And things like that.
And most profitable - drugs, slavetrading, weapon trading. Lets we all start do this. No communism.

Turns out mutants are pretty resistant to radiation damage. Keep that in mind when changing the damage type of your weapon via the upgrade system. Bleeding doesn't work against robots I assume. The additional socket might be the best choice.
