Explosm Hid The Reveal Trailer Of 'The Cyanide and Happiness Game' For 3 Days - Kickstarter Coming Next Month

...With the unlisted trailer - featured on that 'secret' page - having been uploaded 3 days ago now with only 8k views to its name, there's a good chance this one was only recently discovered. It's a Kickstarter project, however, so we can likely expect many more details once that fires up on September 5.

https://www.gamewatcher.com/news/20...n-of-morta-a-gorgeous-pixel-art-roguelike-rpg

11 bit Studios has announced that it will be publishing Children of Morta, the upcoming hack-and-slash roguelike from developer Dead Mage. To celebrate they've released a new trailer, which they've confusingly labelled an "announcement" trailer despite the game actually having been announced way back in 2014. 11 bit studios and Dead Mage are at last planning to release the game in 2018 and will show off the game at PAX West and Gamescom.

I found two kickstarter projects that seem interesting.

1: Lust for Darkness

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1752350052/lust-for-darkness

Looks like an Amnesia with Lovecraft and trannies.

2: Cultist simulator

CULTIST SIMULATOR: a game of apocalypse and yearning from Alexis Kennedy, creator of FALLEN LONDON and creative director of SUNLESS SEA

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/161482768/bannermen-single-multiplayer-rts-with-dynamic-envi?

Bannermen is a medieval real-time strategy game that aims to refresh the RTS genre and involve the community during the development. Take on the role of a fallen lord on his journey back to become one of the mightiest in the realm. Make your banner strike fear into your opponents and challenge the multiplayer ladder in action packed skirmishes.

The game takes place in a semi-fantasy medieval world that has been brutally damaged due to decades of war, starvation and natural disasters. The people are in desperate need of a powerful leader that can unite the kingdom. Many lords claim their right, but there is only room for one banner in the kingdom capital. The goal of the game is to lead your bannermen to victory and defeat the evil, once and for all.

Didn't see a thread for this, but when I see ambitious 'space' games which have both ground actions and space combat I just think of The Mandate these days.
Haven't really looked into it just saw a mention on the Battletech forum, apparently HK devs & "RPG elements"

There is a downloadable 'alpha', they want $80k which seems as unlikely as similar efforts these days.

  • Dynamic, free-form gameplay: Define your own success and set your own objectives in a living world. You are free to loot, gather, trade and grab a drink at the bar. Recruit mercenaries and train an army, or go it alone, infiltrating strongholds and using assassination to get what you want. Each day in Star Edge is unique. Factions engage one another dynamically. Each world is full of conflict and intrigue: bandits will raid friendly settlements, wars will break out, and cautious alliances will be formed as your story evolves.

  • Grand-scale Space Combat: You can lead a fleet of many ship classes and engage in epic combat in space. Achieve victory by winning dog fights and battle cruiser clashes. • Tactical Squad-based Ground Combat: You will not fight alone. Hire mercenaries. Equip them with the best and keep up morale to dominate the battlefield! Plan your tactics - use stealth to surprise the enemy, or armored troopers to storm the front. Choose your arms - laser pistols, plasma rifles, silenced SMGs, sniper rifles, grenade launchers and much more to come!

Your character will have 10 equipment and quick-slots for armor, weapons, grenades and other items. How the world reacts to you depends on your reputation and standing with factions.

There aren’t enough funny video games out there. That’s a fact! There are tons of comedy shows and movies on TV and on the silver screen… but on PCs and consoles? Nope. We want to change this!

Shakes & Fidget – The Adventure is all about silly fun. We are not "Citizen Kane", we are "The Naked Gun meets Spaceballs".

We love crazy point & click adventure games like "Day of the Tentacle" or "Sam & Max", with demented characters, hair-raising stories and whacky puzzles.

Great cartoon-style graphics by Shakes & Fidget creator Marvin Clifford and tons of 2D animations to feast your eyes upon. And for your audio enjoyment only the best voice actors and an orchestral score!

It is time for a straightforward, fun 2D point & click adventure game. If you feel the same, we are counting on your support.

Codex 2014
Officially licensed Jagged Alliance board game Kickstarter:

Frankfurt, Germany / Vienna, Austria, October 20th 2017; In co-operation with THQ Nordic, German game developer Underground Games announced a new board game set in the fan-famed Jagged Alliance universe to be launched on Kickstarter today.

The game transforms the beloved mercenary characters and challenging gameplay of the original series into a 1-4 player co-operative tactical game with over 555 minutes of campaign gameplay with the merc team fighting to free the nation of Arulco from its dictator’s cruel regime. Players can progress through the campaign, gain experience levels and new weapons and gear, train militia and go on extra missions to further their cause. Facing the classic redshirt army of Deidranna as well as various enemy troops, players will need to take tactical risks at every corner and coordinate well in order to reach their objectives.

The game promises high quality components including mercenary and enemy figurines and over a hundred weapons and items to choose from and backers will be able to vote for which mercs will be selected to become playable characters

“Making Jagged Alliance into a board game experience has been an ambition of ours since we first played the series over two decades ago. To finally bring JA to board games and add to its great legacy, is a unique opportunity for us!” says Jan Wagner, Co-founder of Underground Games. “We aim to make a game that is as challenging and varied as the digital version, keeping players on the edge as they make life and death decisions by the minute.”

“Many of us have been long standing fans of Jagged Alliance and when we saw the great concept for this game, partnering with Underground Games was an easy choice. They really understand the heart of the franchise and have made a game that will truly have you on the edge of your seat!” added Klemens Kreuzer, Managing Director at THQ Nordic.
