From the Codex inbox - yes, another one:

Hello!

HeroCraft have got some exciting news: Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf is on its way to Early Access on Steam, it will become available there in February 2017: http://store.steampowered.com/app/553210

Teaser: https://youtu.be/9GxTDETBoPY
First look screenshots are available here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/osf2ttngq6varcn/SpaceWolf_announcement_presskit.zip?dl=0
You can read the official press-release here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/66pcw1kfwav7pjq/PR_HeroCraft_Warhammer_PC_announcement_en.pdf?dl=0
Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf was originally released on iOS and Android as a f2p game, and now we’re ready to officially announce that it will be a premium game for PC players. But at the very beginning of Early Access there will be the original mobile gameplay and in-game balance, because the main aim of this Early Access is to gather players’ feedback and get the understanding of what they would like to see in our game.
Steam version of Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf will be remastered especially for PC players and will include:
- enhanced graphics with improved textures and materials;
- dynamic lighting;
- improved weapon effects and brand new weather effects;
- completely redesigned GUI and controls.
The Steam keys for the first look should become available closer to the thing.
Contact me anytime if you have any questions or need anything else.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Played it on the tablet,pretty shitty game.
Heh, it could have been good if it were not so heavy handed when it came to forcing micro transactions.
The game itself was reminiscent of Card Hunters, where your cards depend on your gear, and you spend them to move or attack, with each character having his own set of cards.
I found the game OKish, except for the fact that buying anything costed an arm and a leg in the virtual world, or a kindney in the real world.
That said, converting it to premium would require quite some work, unless they expect people to grind forever.

I have no idea how they plan to make this game work in PC with the tiny levels.It's ok for phone game ,but the missions I played were max 10 min each and that is with the retarded long AI turns.There is probably some tactical decision making somewhere is the card system ,but after 6-7 mission it was looking so grindy to get different cards than the starting that I gave up and uninstalled.

Same there, I found you were quickly limited by what your cards did, and there was no realistic way to get better ones if you were not into putting money or hundreds of hours into it.
But fortunately, we have CheatEngine on PC =)

Steam needs a "this was a mobile game" label so I know not to even bother.

i tried it on the phone. the concept is not bad, but the maps are the smallest ever seen, missions aren't random, everything is extremely slow (both movement speed and the actual amount of squares the troop can move each turn, like no more than 3-4) and it involves lots of grind and luck with buying cards packs.
a shame, a new chaos gate could have been fun.

I'm not averse to trying this out, if they make it worthy of the pc master race.

Hello!

Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf, a card-driven turn-based tactical game, enters Steam Early Access on Feb 17 at 10am PST. Please reply me back you want to get the copy to take the first look at the game!

http://store.steampowered.com/app/553210

Please note that the internet connection is required to play the game.
The standard price on Early Access is $11.99, but we're giving a 15% discount for the first week. It's a full paid game, it doesn't contain any microtransactions!

Official trailer: https://youtu.be/62MhAHrwmaM
More information about the game: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3WEZ6xd6z2CcGI2b1Uyck5vdFE/view

As the game is currently on Early Access stage, it doesn't perform its final quality, as there's still a lot of work to be done. So you may be facing bugs, crushes, missing content and lack of optimization. Over the coming months we will be constantly updating the game with the new content and features and of course bug fixes and optimizations. This is not the simple port of a mobile game; we intend to make a cool PC game, so we’re looking forward to the audience’s feedback, so that we can plan our development route accordingly.

We would be grateful if you could support us with a piece of news about Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf.

Please let me know if you have any questions or need anything else.

Kind regards,
Anastasia Skachko

Doesn't look like a bad game to kill some time while waiting for more stuff to be added to Sanctus Reach...

From the Steam forums. This is one of the stickied threads.
@Totalbiscuit likes it so it's got to be really good!
Over the last 2 days on twitter I've seen a few tweets by top youtuber John Bain about how much he enjoyed playing this game. He did a Twitch.tv stream of it. But i think you have to be a subscriber of his to watch it. That is...if he saved it. Not sure about that. But if @Totalbiscuit praised it, that means it is good and will make a whole lot of money.

I'm definitely convinced it's great now...

It was shit on the phone, not sure what can they do to make it better.Maps were tiny and waiting 1 min for the AI to move his units with painfully slow animations didn't help.

hah I already commented to this ,some brave soul could waste 20 euro to let us know how shitty is on pc

Ok, I take it back. A mobile port wth no offline play focused on the card grind, probably to get you to buy boosters or whatnot. And even that is fucked up by a bug that turns all cards received into basic "run". :D Do not touch.
