Imperatum, a sci-fi Diablo-like:

ss_53d5e36d83c1efb58a2f1db2e273fb913878e688.600x338.jpg

You are an agent, thrown headfirst into your first mission trying to unravel the mystery of the veil that is consuming the galaxy.

Created by former professional gamers and AAA developers, Imperatum is an Action RPG set in a future Sci-Fi universe.

The game focuses on the core ARPG 'trinity' mechanics of fast-paced combat, deep character customization and tons of loot!

Key Features

  • Intense combat - A hallmark of this genre and Imperatum delivers! Battle your way through 8 levels and more than a dozen different enemy types!

  • Character customization - Familiar stat and skill allocation with a twist. Skills can be used in active mode or slotted in other skills for a passive effect. Want your fire bomb to heal you? Done! Want your Three Shot Burst to explode and irradiate your enemies? Done and done! This active passive system with 48 unique skills allows for near limitless combinations.

  • All the loot - Love finding loot? There is so much loot we had to implement a recycling feature that allows players to turn extra loot into crafting currencies on the fly instead of having to run back to town.

  • Vast Sci-Fi Universe - Have you played the other big ARPG's and wonder why there was no good Sci-Fi game? It is our passion to deliver that experience that has been missing in the genre. No more high fantasy, dark fantasy or voxel settings. Just good old fashioned Sci-Fi awesomesauce.

  • Targeting Overlay - It can be frustrating at times to not have visual indicators for how far your skills work. We sought to solve this with a toggle-able targeting overlay that displays your skills range and area of effect.

  • Pro Social and Health Mechanics - Being a gamer in 2017 is hard. There are so many good games and so little time it can be hard to pull yourself away. We feel that as developers it is part of our ethical duty to encourage gamers to make healthy choices. To that end we have been implementing and testing systems within the game to encourage players to make healthy choices. Let us know what you think!

So, what are these "Pro Social and Health Mechanics"?

Here at Pro Social Games we believe that gamers shouldn't have to sacrifice their health to be great at the games they love. So to that end our team have come up with two mechanics based on science to help gamers make healthier choices when playing. The first mechanic came from our study of the science of sedentary behavior. Basically, when you sit for long periods of time it affects your cardiovascular system. But walking around for just 10 minutes for every hour you spent seated will counteract those negative effects. So in the game we have an unobtrusive timer that will flash when the end of an hour of gaming is approaching and you can decide whether to take a break or not. If you do you will be rewarded with a random buff to experience or item loot quality and quantity that will more than make up for the time you spent away.

The second mechanic came from the study of how light from the monitor affects your sleep. Basically staring at a monitor is like staring at a very dim sun. The light from the monitor triggers your body to remove melatonin, which is responsible for inducing sleep and repairing your body, from your blood stream. The end result being that over time you will get less restful sleep and your body will be less able to repair itself. The mechanic we are introducing to address this issue is a buff to experience, item quality and quantity while playing during daylight hours.

We understand that some people work night shifts or are unable to get up and take a break. Which is why these mechanics can be toggled off in the options window. We just want to bring awareness to issues that are not directly addressed and many players, especially younger ones might not be aware of.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Nex Machina is 40% off for 12 bucks or your region equivalent. Crazy SHMUP. Too bad Housemarque's latest platformer Matterfall is only on PS4 :salute:

Microsoft's online space combat game Allegiance is coming to Steam, it's a version (FreeAllegiance) maintained by community based on source code released by MS:

They should probably get somebody who speaks English to update the Steam page.

Only two from your group have survived: you (agent) & she (operator).
Character, whom you take under his wing not in the best moment of his life, is alive, and helping him to get out of trouble, you and a mysterious voice in his head will solve the mystery
Plan you attack by using baits to successfully eliminate step by step various opponents
There are various tactics with using if encirclement.
etc.

I've played it on my Android phone and thought the gameplay was too easy and formulaic. The quality of the writing was middling at best. Maybe I was spoiled by Sorcery! and Warlock of Firetop Mountain, which are great implementations of this type of game and had some really interesting bits.

Is that game any good? Last TR I played was Legend.

Contrary to Codex edge, they are pretty good games as far as third person action/shooters. Plot and character development are ridiculous and there's something strangely unsettling about Lara sticking icepicks in people's eyes by the dozen while sobbing about the killing in cutscenes. Even so the actual movement and exploration and even gunplay are solid.
