it's out now and it's ok to play, the patch isn't out for another 2-3 weeks, so plenty of time to hit ranked and save kegs

Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Revealed card changes

I question the wisdom of basing the first campaign on a character that nobody gives a damn about. They know what they're doing though, will likely turn out well regardless.
I like that you get to play as a leader of the respective faction the adventure is revolving around rather than playing all of them as Geralt.

Apparently Swim (a well-known Gwent player with his own YT channel) uploaded a deck guide for a Dagon deck geared towards reaching 4200 MMR. Now 75% of the decks between 3900 and 4200 are netdeckers with that deck. I had been playing Nilfgaard only so far, but I'm playing some Northern Realms now as they deal better with this shit.

I had a looksie and it looks exactly like the dagon deck people were using a month ago (except maybe old speartip). This game needs the update badly.

People were mad at me for saying that, watch your back.

But it looks like the game is going through a huge change, hopefully for the better.

I always DE all cards that were nerfed, since I can just craft them again if the need arises. Yet, I cant bring myself to DE my premium Frightener, since I've grown strangely attached to him, even tho I've never played a game as monsters. Didnt DE Cantarella either tho, even tho i perhaps should.

That aside, these refund offerings are sorta bullshit and completely arbitrary. No full refund for gigni, even if 20 power was changed to 25? Yeah, sure, he got 1 added power, and he can destroy golds now or whatever, but how the fuck is that not a nerf?

They should refund a lot more cards than that :/
Anyway, from my 14 reward kegs I got 4 golds, a few nice silvers and 9 premiums. Pretty kewl, especially because I haven't got a single gold in last 40-50 kegs I've opened.

God darnit. I still havent pulled up even the average epic/gold ratio. Got 51 epics in 213 packs (1 in 4 being average), which is slightly below but still ok. 8 legs in 213 packs (1 i n twenty being average) still yanks my chain pretty hard.

Still, being pro with the economy and all that shit, i got 15k scraps and tons of cards, incl 3 top tier competitive decks, so i guess I shouldn't complain.

Got premium Vilgefortz from my season end rewards, so not complaining. Sitting at 22k scraps right now after milling. Will probably try to put together a spy deck for Emperor's glory or something, haven't even read all the changes yet so not sure what will be good.

Seems like they are only refunding card that got strictly nerfed, i.e. didn't get better in any aspect.

dunno if the patch is balanced, but making golds removable is a very ballsy move, I like this very much

It was a courageous decision. The downside is that Spellatael decks are extra cancerous now, with the spell recycling. It wouldn't be so bad if Stammelford's Tremors didn't give the caster an earth elemental if it kills a unit. So prepare for 4-5 Stammelford's in a round. The meta is awash with these.

I won't say that they are unbeatable, but there will be about 2 weeks of this bullshit.

Yeah, I see abundance of spells in most decks now. That's the obvious downside. Still trying to figure out something viable for Nilfgaard.

Another round of milling cards, sitting on just under 30k scraps. Still think this game is pretty good but today was the first time I logged on in like a month. I might just end up waiting until all this beta stuff is done and things are settled because I don't have the time or desire to relearn all the shit they change every patch.

Part of it is just being fed up with how games like this play out, meta-wise. Things get so goddamn stale so fast now, happens in hearthstone and happened back when I played Magic too. I'm a "Johnny" type of player (with a dash of Timmy) and all the Spike-fueled netdecking kills a lot of the fun for me.

Reveal is pretty good, but the way it is played has changed a lot (as the scouts are no longer buffed by each reveal). Also spies is viable, and both the infiltrator and the reworked bribe are quite interesting.

Plus there's a new unit that lets you see the top 3 units the opponent has and buffs it by the power of the one you pick. Quite useful prior to playing Tibor.

After last patch I thought they can't nerf Skelige Axeman deck more, oh boy I was wrong. Good luck playing Skelige with Herald as the leader, it was already hard to win vs any meta deck after july pach, now it's literally impossible. Only 0,7% played this deck in july and instead of giving it some opportunities, they've nerfed it even more - Herald is now useless, axemans useless and Coral(the only card in this deck that somehow balanced the games vs NR and Skoiatel) is now dead. This is hilarious. Skoiatel was always overpowered and not fun to play against deck, now it's insta win. Last match I've played, the guy playing Skoiatel was 60 after drawing 4 cards:lol: Fuck, he was 8 even before we started the game(discard). I don't like the way this game is shaping up. They should decide to stay with 3 decks to choose and try to balance this game over it.

I wouldn't say shit, they had some decent decks, but they were certainly never OP, especially compared to monsters.
