Don't know why she's a cyborg, but Dishonored 2's level design was great, so I'll follow this dlc and if the price is right I'll surely buy it.

She was once one of Dunwall’s most notorious killers-for-hire. She traveled to Karnaca in search of redemption in Dishonored 2. And now, fan-favorite character Billie Lurk (aka Megan Foster) will return in Dishonored: Death of the Outsider. Reuniting with her mentor – the legendary assassin Daud – Billie will explore the dark underbelly of Karnaca in order to pull off the ultimate assassination: killing the Outsider.

From the critically acclaimed developers at Arkane Studios, Dishonored: Death of the Outsider is the first standalone adventure in the award-winning Dishonored series. Revealed at the Bethesda E3 2017 Showcase, Death of the Outsider will release on September 15, 2017, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Using all-new powers and abilities, Billie will infiltrate underground fight clubs and square off against the Sisters of the Oracular Order, the immortal Envisioned and the Outsider-obsessed Eyeless gang. She’ll also face new Clockwork Soldiers – along with other new and returning foes – and retrieve ancient artifacts in a thrilling bank-heist mission, eventually facing the mysterious, god-like Outsider himself.

With brutal combat systems, deadly weapons, powerful gadgets and intricately designed levels, Death of the Outsider delivers the ultimate assassination gameplay that’s become a hallmark of the Dishonored series. And with Arkane’s signature style, you’ll be able pull off your assassinations however you like – quietly killing from the shadows or savagely eliminating foes out in the open.

Throughout her journey, Billie will uncover some of the secrets surrounding the Outsider, a 4,000-year-old entity who’s been at the heart of the Empire’s most dishonorable moments. And eventually, Billie will be confronted by difficult decisions that will forever change the world around her.

With new powers, enemies, settings and more, Death of the Outsider is the perfect entry point for those new to the Dishonored series. As a standalone adventure, no previous experience with any Dishonored games or DLC is necessary to jump in and experience the Empire of the Isles for the first time. But for longtime Dishonored fans, Death of the Outsider delivers a significant expansion to the Dishonored gameplay and lore. And with the Original Game Plus (OG+) mode, fans can unleash their full potential for creative chaos by using a selection of signature abilities from Dishonored 2.

In Death of the Outsider, Billie Lurk will take on the greatest mission in the Dishonored series, becoming the ultimate supernatural assassin.

Why would we want the Outsider dead? I still want a Dishonored 3.

So perhaps it's Billy and Daud that end up getting devoured into the pitch-black eyes of the Outsider.

I just think that if they would kill this Outsider, another one would emerge. But probably in second DLC.

Depends on how long it will be but that seems pricey. Still, more Dishonored is always welcome.

"Dishonored: Death of the Outsider is the first standalone adventure in the award-winning Dishonored series."

Implying that there will be more expansions coming? Fine by me.
That just sounds like regular marketing speak - 'Rogue One is the first standalone movie in the Star Wars franchise'.

Don't get your hopes up, especially with the poor sales of recent Arkane games.

The Evil Within was a financial flop and yet it's getting a sequel.

They'll likely make this expansion while the engineering team preps the new engine for Dishonored 3/whatever and then jump fully into it. No point in squandering time for a second expansion.

Daud's DLC from Dishonored 1 was in two parts, but I think they announced that ahead of release. Since this is also getting a physical release on launch, it's probably just the one expansion. Still, it seems like it will be as long or maybe longer than both Dishonored 1 DLC's.

Well, shit. That's good news, but unexpected.

I wonder if they will bring back Michael Madsen as Daud.

So does Billie have Cyrbog powers instead of Outsider powers?
