This thread is proof that DarkUnderlord cannot fix bugs and prefers to go with calling it a feature.

Here is my proposal: I think that Bethesda, Bioware, CDProjekt, InXile, Harebrained Schemes and Obsidian should have their own sub-forums in retardoland. They are popamole studios and should be treated with zero tolerance. Any attempt to disregard this norm should be dealt with accordingly (tags, retardoland or even banishment). Enough is enough. It’s time to separate real monocled gentleman from the posers in our midst. The decline will end with iron fist and the sovereign rule of our emperor, DarkUnderlord.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
This change is gonna make it even harder to find new RPGs to play, all so retards who can't figure out Fallout 4 can be discussed in the bethesda forum don't miss out. I don't see the need to cater to retards.

The broken ignore feature still hasn't been fixed after three weeks. Here's the evidence (of my elite GIMP skills):

The changes aren't working when browsing with Tapatalk, I can't see subforum threads in the root forum (which is good :)). I suggest a revert to the old behavior so it stays consistent across applications.

As someone that doesn't frequent this place for years at a time, it was mildly confusing at first, but it's honestly probably a good idea. It would be nice if the threads could be tagged somehow, so you can see in the forum that a thread "belongs" to a given sub-forum.

It's really simple. Do you want to promote the threads / games of subforum developers at the expense of everyone else? Do you think people who can't bother to click to check a subforum are more interested in a random subforumless indie thread or the nth PoE thread?

Don't let the corporate juden agenda push the indie devs into 2nd page ghetto.

It's funny how in Politics, sub-forum actually works without threads showing up in the main view. All the more reasons to believe that this is a half-assed (((feature)))

I ignored the subforums because they block half the page of GRPG. Would not be possible if it would affect the threads, but they still show up in GRPG. It's broken in a good way I guess.

Not too long ago, a change was made that allows threads in sub-forums to be shown here in the main GRPGD forum. This was to resolve what was seen as a long-standing issue of threads being buried in sub-forums and people not being able to keep up with the latest shit etc...
Is it possible to make it so that if you ignore a subforum, you also ignore all the threads inside and they don't show in the General forum?

I mean, a lot of people raise that problem, but there has been no answer so far. For now, this seems to be the most important problem with this change.

I think it moots the point of having subforums if we're shoving it all into the general RPG board, so I'll oppose. With this change it's more like a really crappy thread-tagging system.

The idea is might be ok but my feeling is the general RPG discussion tended to be friendlier to older gamers or otherwise discussion of classical/indie games. Now with newer/mainstream? games entering the mold, it'll obsfuscate that leaning.

My suggestion is make a indie/older/classical RPG subforum.

PS: In a way, this change is more accurate to what "general" should mean, even if I don't like it.

This is simply wrong, now that GRPGD subforums aren't retard containments any longer they're just there to encourage the worst kind of threads while older franchises can only have megathreads, smaller games get buried, and Iron Tower games, Underrail and the Expeditions series can only be discussed far away, in an obscure corner of this site.

Exterminate GRPGD subforums or, if for some weird reason they're a necessity, make them about subgenres or eras, not about developers. A proper blobber subforum could be nice for example (although the weeaboo one could be an obstacle).

Dividing this into Blobbers, Tacticool (or just top-down/iso games) and Muh immershun could be good enough.

If people tried to make similar threads about Wizardry, Might & Magic, Ultima, or the Gold Box games, they would be probably moved to their respective megathreads. But apparently Bethesda, Bioware and other modern studios have a free pass, that makes sense.

No wonder why GRPGD today is a worthless space, and no, it's not the userbase's fault (not completely, at least), these kind of threads are only encouraged by their shitty subforums. What's going on here?
