  • Welcome to rpgcodex.net, a site dedicated to discussing computer based role-playing games in a free and open fashion. We're less strict than other forums, but please refer to the rules.

"This message is awaiting moderator approval": All new users must pass through our moderation queue before they will be able to post normally. Until your account has "passed" your posts will only be visible to yourself (and moderators) until they are approved. Give us a week to get around to approving / deleting / ignoring your mundane opinion on crap before hassling us about it. Once you have passed the moderation period (think of it as a test), you will be able to post normally, just like all the other retards.

Ignored forums still appear in "New Posts"

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
I've ignored a couple of forums but I still see the new posts in them in the New Posts area. Is that intended or a bug?

DarkUnderlord actually it shouldn't be a mystery, the ignoring options for a forum contain this:
  • New Posts
... which is exactly where nothing is ignored. BUUUGG

Weird, never had that problem myself and I basically browse codex by watched/new threads almost exclusively.

I don't mean in "Alerts" but in the New Posts thingie in the main forum page, where you see the 5 latest posts from all forums. There you will see posts even from the ones you ignored (at least I do)

As you have now solved the mystery and answered your question as to whether this is intended design or a bug, I consider this topic closed.

Thanks to everyone who participated!

Same issue here. My new posts list is full of shit about "niggers", "jews", "trumps", and threads about people crying because a liberal guy said something that was merely intelligent and that made them writhel in pain and tears.

Since I can't stand to see my forum-mates be abused, it would be nice if the "ignore" function worked decently.

I've been here *looks at clock*.... quite a while.

I haven't used the new posts list once.
Like any true gentlemen, I use a browser with 10+ tabs open at once and multiple tab groups ordered by "topic".
No need for a forum quest compass. :smug:

Make sure you also click "Unwatch thread"
and check everything in the "Ignore thread" menu
that's what usually did it in my case
