It was obvious to me if trump did not get wiped out in primaries or simply shot then he would become president for next 8 years. It is astonishing to me to think he could get removed without shooting him, especially for made up russia nonsense

Circling the drain, boys. End of Trump is nigh. I'll elaborate because some of you don't seem to understand that most of the Republican would rather have Mike Pence as President of the United States. They need 230ish votes in the House to impeach. There are around 190 or so democrats. Only need like a couple dozen moderate republicans. 60 votes in the Senate are needed to convict. And, to you guys that don't seem to follow American politics at all aside from Trump's ramblings, most of the Republicans in the senate like John McCain and Lindsey Graham fucking despise Trump. Do you REALLY think they would pass on the opportunity to get rid of him and install their puppet Mike Pence? Really?

All they need is some barely cogent legal argument/reason to come out of all these investigations. Keeping in mind -- for those of you too young to remember -- they impeached Clinton over a blow job (and some shitty real estate thing that wasn't even relevant by the time it was over).

Impeach him for what? Impeaching a president is actually very hard.

First off, aside from nothing to charge him with, nobody on either side likes the idea of prosecuting politicians. Most of democrats are criminals and the upper eschalon republicans mainly are too. And even the ones who aren't criminals themselves have enough social intelligence realize that having any shred of power comes only from the ever-waning illusion of having legitimacy. Once that illusion vanishes (as it has rapidly for last 30 years) then it is only a hop skip away from everyone hanging the politicians and installing military dictator or something like that. If they suspended democracy at this point many of the people would cheer, they know it's all pure bullshit and the country is just a corrupt banana republic shithole.

Second, they will have to answer for this later if they do impeach him. For republicans voting to impeach trump would be the end of their careers, period. Faggots like Graham and so on will hopefully we kicked out of the party, they are the parasites that made Trump necessary in the first place. For democrats, unless they sit in a 100% democrat zone this is a threat to them, too.

In short unless the overwhelming majority of the country AND 100% of one party wants a president impeached, it's never ever going to happen. Even Nixon would probably never have been impeached, and the idea Trump will wind up that way when he has 100% backing of middle class conservatives is truly ludicrous.

The president is the chief law enforcement officer of the nation and commander in chief of the armed forces he can make US trade, security, defense, and foreign policy in any manner he wants. The Clinton impeachment was bogus failing for the obvious reason that the top one percent behind the throne who controlled Bill Clinton might be implicated.

Well, don't be hard on Bill Clinton. He opened a lot of doors for people like me: Managers wanting to bang hot employees.
