Mixing JRPGs and WRPGs, Skyrim in the first place, Mass Effect 2 in the top 10, yup, yup

Listen, gonna go puke some blood real fast and I'll come back to write something longer

Well it is a pretty accurate reflection of the new RPG audience of today.
It is also a reason why I hate a lot of new gamers of today.
Idiocracy in general society has still got some road to go, but it is a lot closer in the gaming community.

Bottom 50 is a hell of a lot stronger than the top 50. Jail Time!

Skewed way too much in favor of recent games, though.

I am sure these lists are only written for the entertainment value the comments provide. Also, the more outrage, the more clicks.

Yup, I'm easily entertained. The respective positions of Fallout games for example are p gud.

I swear to god, everything past the top 10 has been assigned random position. There is no point to such an extensive and broad list beyond click bait. Separating JRPG and WRPG alone would've helped immensely.

Codex got it right, as usual. :smug:

These "best of all eternity" lists seem to always be based on what's popular at the time they're made and on the website they're made. Guess based on whatever data gathering shit they have on that website. I bet they're generated automatically.

Otherwise what is TTON even doing there? It's not like it's the typical shilling material like, say, Bethesda's stuff nor something that got picked up by hiptertards like Underdale.
Probably just showed up there because it's new and there's SOME forum posts or whatever about it.

Codex Year of the Donut Serpent in the Staglands Dead State Divinity: Original Sin Project: Eternity Torment: Tides of Numenera Wasteland 2 Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 A Beautifully Desolate Campaign Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Pathfinder: Kingmaker Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture I helped put crap in Monomyth
Looking at this list for what it is, an approximation of the current "mainstream AAA RPG consensus", I observe three things:

1) No Bethesda Fallout in the Top 10.
2) Final Fantasy Tactics is kind of an unorthodox choice for inclusion in the Top 10. Somebody's dark horse pick?
3) Even by mainstream AAA RPG consensus standards, Deus Ex should have been in the Top 10 (instead of FF:Tactics, I guess)

1) No Bethesda Fallout in the Top 10.

Hah, Fallout 4 is not there at all. Bethesda must have troubles with their Dorito shipments or else they pissed off the gaming press somehow.
Otherwise Skyrim being higher than F3 is quite in line with the typical shilling process: newer games are always better.
Remember how F3 was hailed as much better than Oblivion, the game that won like a million Citizen Kane awards.
