You can toggle every "enhanced" edition feature, they are also clearly marked in the options.

Exactly. If they did it with their own incompetent writers. However, they had Avellone doing work for them. And we were left to understand that there was the possibility of improving the bad areas BY him but in the end the project lead decided against it. Apparently he gets to decide what PST fans would like or not.

Now, for as much as I despise Beamdog, I wouldn't have said no to new content from MCA. Unless it ended up sucking of course, there's also that possibility (though how much worse than Curst can you get?), but at least there was a chance we could get more PST.

Instead we get sprite outlines and other "hard worked" features that apparently many people just want to turn off to the point that Beamdog need to add disclaimers and FAQs about it everywhere.

Yeah, with Avellone on board there is no excuse not to add content. Specially considering we all know there was a lot of cut content. Avellone has said in many interviews that he wanted much more content added to the buried village, for instance.

This is not about "keeping the original experience pure" or whatever, it is about an easy cash grab with no work involved.

Currently there is no proper working apk. After the latest patch today the game works, but if you try to save it will exit, also a lot of interactions will get the game to exit. It seems Beamdog really made it hard to pirate on Android.

GoG sold the original patched for modern systems for 5 bucks or less. I think I bought it for 3.99 in a sale or something.

Beamdog adds shitty outlines and a mobile port and more than doubles the price.

I can't see the relation between what I wrote and what you said. If you are refering to the "SWJ agenda" part of the joke the reason I wrote that is because the antecedents of beamdog with their Baldur's gate EE and siege of decline expansion pack, and the initial hysteria about the PST:EE annoucement and the chances of new content/changed/censored content of the game (A concern that I personally referred a lot of times in the thread).
