You guys will go down in history as part of a strange group in a strange time that for some reason, revered old games and hated new ones that provided the same things. It's like nostalgia or your big brother figured out what games were good and told you, and when new ones come along you think about it like all the other people who hate games that will go down as timeless. You hate new games for reasons that should disqualify the old ones and you think you're being clever but you're just making this website a worthless rathole of stupid bitter morons.
Really interesting we being hardcore RPG fascists, when the codex just elected Witcha 3: Wild Rolling as GOTY game.

What's interesting is how Rolling around as Witcher ended up being the most enjoyable "RPG" of the year - in this bountiful ocean of "indie old school arr pee gees"

Too many polacos and polacos have no critical sense when it comes to their own.
It's really like national-socialism.

I think it was Fallout 4 and now as the third one came ME:A.
So, are you implying Witcher 3, being the Planescape Torment of this majestic group, the one with the worst gameplay? That would be an achievement for CD Projekt to be proud of.

What are the other games on the "new trinity"?

Underrail and Age of Decadence.
Let's be serious, if Witcher 3 was stripped of the huge production values and if it didn't have the name of a polish fantasy fiction writer on it, most people on this site would shit over it like no tomorrow as it is as a shitty game as any popamole trash you can play today including eagle vision, map question marks galore , quest arrows, no challenge, recycled content, piss poor RPG systems, piss poor choice and consequence and the list goes on and on.

Sometimes we like to mock Biodrones and Bethesdards for their biased self delusions but you make a game that appeal to the nationalist sentiments of a few forum members, have a developer they see as champion of their political views and add a few high polished polygons fly on the screen and you have all the shit popamole in the world forgiven. Humm... Where did I saw this kind of behavior before?

I called it the new Torment for a specific reason.

Nah, along side Underrail and AoD, the one to replace Torment as part of the new Trinity would be Grimoire: Herald of the Winged Exemplar.

What does one life matter?

As much as I love TNG and would like to brofist this, I can't, because you're utilizing the age-old tactics of "picking the best example out of thing I like and worst example of thing I dislike".

Also, what can change the nature of a man? is not better that what does one life matter?.

"High-school philosophy" - another of those empty expressions you retards keep throwing around in order to sound intelligent. Funny how PS:T's story and characters fly right over most of you 'tards heads.

PS:T wasn't even that "philosophical". It was "just" a very good story with very good themes that formed a coherent whole. You don't call any novel that has a underlying theme "philosophical". Dumbasses.

Or maybe my theory is correct that "popamole open world RPGs, but with good writing!" have become the Codex's new favorite type of RPG.

Is too.

"What can change the nature of a man?" immediately suggests answers which you may examine and reject (or, eventually, accept). Love? Regret? Amnesia? Brain damage? Death? Rebirth?

"What does one life matter?" doesn't. Like, how would you even answer that? A little? A lot? Not at all? It's just a stupid question.

Sorry but you're being edgy here. The answer to "what does X matter" doesn't have to be a quantity, or if it is a quantity the elaboration on it would go beyond that. What does one life matter? It matters enough for X. It matters enough that Y did Z. The stories you can tell about the answers to such questions are the real point of them, anyway.

Yeah, well, they failed to tell any stories. Just another thing among the many that ended up just being hamfisted into the game, with no previous importance to your character. Durrdurr castoff here's the next plot-gate: what does one life mater huh? huh? do you know? if you answer now you can continue to the next plot-gate hurr hurrr

Also, the way the question is formulated it asks for quantity. Maybe "Does one life matter?" would ask what you made up there. But I'd have put it as "Does one life even matter?" for extra edginess.

It still is a cheesy trope, at best. What's worse, revealing half the plot in the trailer is anti-climatic as hell. But I guess they deemed it necessary to sell the game. *cough* Amateurs.

Those would have worked, but it wouldn't have let them wank to legacies like they clearly wanted to. You know, babies, art, discoveries, immortality, all that commotion. Would've been a good premise for a game set in a war.
