Is this a tacit admission that SC2 failed to inspire the same sort of cult following as the original? It sure sounds like it.

The odds of them borking the story rises significantly now.
It is being done by another dev team, not Blizzard directly. And this team was obsessed by everything staying as close to original as possible. Too afraid of idiots like Rhodok being too butthurt. So I think the SP part will at least be worth piratplaying again.

They probably want to check the market with this, if it will sell enough, D2 and W3 remakes will probably be also a given

Looks alright. Terrain textures have too much noise to them though. If they don't change anything related to gameplay like they claim then I'm fine with it. Any idea what the new patch will be about?
