Fatigue reduction (especially if you use double quick shot each turn) also lets the archer go a lot longer before resting.

Most of the time it's 3 quick shots because of berserk, so it's even more important.

What other misc items exist that you can equip? So far I've only seen bandages, antidotes, the sash.

Even with the change to archers so they can shoot from the second line, I find I prefer pikes or long axes. Bows are just not that great.

It's just an option for a pure ranged character who has terrible melee stats to still contribute when the melee has started.

Men, got this game today. Is there an in-game tutorial? Campaign/Combat basics scenario just drops you in a middle of battle, with no tutorial pop-ups or anything. Looking at patch notes it seems that there should be a tutorial.

There isn't really, but the starter quest holds your hand through the basics. Ambitions will guide you towards good milestones in building up your company.

Just find a group of orcs or goblins. They will teach you a lot. Typical fodder like in other games!

The thing that bothers me lately is the wienerzombies. Not that they are dangerous, they actually do next to nothing with their 1 attack per round.... but it's soooo damn tedious to chop through them (again and again, as 3-4 can rise each round if there's a lot of them). I had some bros doing 1100+ damage in a boring 20min wienerbattle.

Also, I just fought an enemy group consisting entirely of ghosts... who left tracks on the main map and carried a lot of loot (in their ghost-pockets?). :D

Form the wiki it says that each critter downed gives an exact amount of XP that gets divided between your bros, plus an extra 20% to the bro who killed said critter. That being said I'm sure there something else to do with the damage inflicted that's not mentioned in the wiki.

Welp, played for 4 hours and thought it was p. gud. Turns out that there's a bunch of new stuff that you need to opt-in for (beta), like UI scaling. Oh well, kinda silly that I didn't know that before but w/e, game just got better.

Well, you are more or less getting the full experience if you wanna play, but they recently made some big changes to some talents. So I figured I would wait at least until everything is set in stone.

I figure I'll just fire the game up and play to get familiarized and then start a new game on release, will likely botch the first playthrough anyways.

Any tips on how to recover after a bad loss in ironmode veteran? i'm on day 36 and I got demolished by two stacks of necromancers (thought I was safe standing behind a friendly stack of soldiers but they walked around and hit me instead). Lost 7 guys, and the 5 guys i have left are all severely injured. The problem is that I can't find a single one skull contract on the map. How do you comeback from this if you have no money? Where can I grind out enough money relatively safely to at least pay my guys?

Roaming thugs and ghouls and some trade are your best bet.
