I also want to post some Indie strategy games, but I am not interested in reading the whole thread. How about a list that is regularly updated? That would make things easier all the more when this thread getting very big.

I didn´t add the games with dead link and not every game on the list has a link and not every link is a game in the list.
Also I am not sure if the categories are correct(Actualy I didn´t care while adding), so if someone has a desire
to "improve" the list he or she is welcome to do so. After all I am not the owner^^!

Valravn Games
Wizards and Warlords, indie turn-based strategy game. To be honest, I didn't "find" this, since I am the one developing it. It's also not done yet, but there is a playable alpha, and it has a lot functional moving parts. It has really stupid AI, lots of placeholder art and the main challenge is navigating the UI. But I am adding stuff constantly and the updates are pretty much weekly at this point, and dead periods of development less common. Sometimes a build will be horribly buggy and crash a lot, since I like programming a lot more than testing, but stability is a lot better than it used to be. The tactical combat looks terrible and will be completely overhauled before beta. Until then you can auto-resolve battles or enjoy cheesy sound effects for the spells, opaque mechanics and unfair fights. The strategic part is where the main focus is for the coming months.

King under the Mountain is a Dwarf Fortress-like with the same style as Prison Architect and Rimworld, so fairly similar to Rimworld but with the setting of DF

I'm currently replaying Myth with Project magma 1.8.1 (all the issues that Ivar has in his LP are fix, even the sprite are HD!), and nothing is suppressing this game. This is the only game in which I listening 2x to the briefing, just because its that good - all the Black Company vibe.
The difficulty curve is pure perfection. You can go for "no casualties" approach or "Carry on, we gonna make it!". And both are perfectly viable. I do few days ago Gonnen Bridge mission, all my archer and dwarf was blow out with Wight, I finish the mission with warriors and 1x journeyman. I just randomly replay some missions just to enjoy it again. This game has succulent ambient (not because the gore only). All units are greatly balanced. Seriously I dont get why everyone on internet perceive warriors as expendables. And dwarf are not that OP as everyone describe them, in fact is the most frustrating that many times do most of the casualties or force me to reload (yet, dwarf are likeable "sorry for that fellas"
). Its not legendary - its a myth! Its a one of a kind.
Either I miss something or there is nothing similar like that (you hear that indie devs? its a niche), there is DeadHold somewhere there on hazy horizon, but would it hold the candle? I'm afraid with choice they make, it has no chance.
