Fun fact: Then it's guaranteed they're 2D renders (which is what they look like) and the actual game will look nowhere near that. But most people won't have a clue about it and donate thinking that's what they'll get.

This is worse than Bethesda level of lying.
Well they claim it is made by ingame engine.

Hey all,

We're in that busy campaign prep time and have been thinking about the topic of stretch goals. If we are so fortunate as to over-fund, it only makes sense that we are thinking on the same wavelength as the community when it comes to possible added goals.

While we have no shortage of our own ideas for the game, we want to hear what you want to see in the game. Could be specific ideas, could just be a general "I'd like you to focus on this aspect". Even if it's a little crazy, that's okay. Who knows, we may have already been thinking along the same lines, but that's good to know too!

Just so we're clear, we aren't looking for specific funding levels for the goals, or a specific order - just a spitballing of what kinds of things you would want to see added, beyond what we've already described, in a game bearing the name Wasteland 3.

Well in 5 days there will be a gameplay shown as part of Fig pitch so we can compare graphics in that with those pictures.

That does not sound very encouraging at all.
The polite way of describing what they are doing is that they are sourcing for volunteer idea guys to come up with hooks to attract customers since they are running out of stock.

Actually that's a video, the next frame just didn't load yet. *rimshot*

Well in 5 days there will be a gameplay shown as part of Fig pitch so we can compare graphics in that with those pictures.

I guess we'll see. BT4 also had a much better looking "totally in game grafix, guise" trailer for Kickstarter than what they're showing now.

Though I suppose since Tides of Numenera got going, inXile hasn't been that far off from Bioware when it comes to things that aren't romance.

Color me not very impressed even if this announcement caught me by surprise. I think I have caught "Sarcastic Asshole syndrome".
If Brian Fargo came to me naked and told me that Inxile was going to make a Wasteland 3, and then poured gasoline over himself after which he set himself on fire I probably still would not bat an eyelash.
The guy has promised this game and he has promised that game but so far has only released Wasteland 2 as part of Inxile's RPG revival and that was a disappointment in general.

By the way is there any additional info about vehicular combat? And systems it will use?
Nah. Since the announcement and the initial spurge of articles, the only new info I'm aware of is a single post from sea confirming that W3 will be "party-based", which sounded good at first, but may not mean what I hope it means.

To be honest I'm not expecting much from the system that they are going to use for car vs car combat.
It's probably going to be a sideshow at best.
While I would like to see a vehicle centric tactical combat game where one would have to take into account such things as acceleration, braking distances , momentum, firing arcs...etc. (btw what are TT options for vehicular combat? I have played Gorkamorka and I know about Dark Future, but anything else?)

Actually from what I read, vehical combat should be simpler. You will be able to use it as movable cover during combat or install a turret on it so it can help to shoot at your enemies.

If they're going for big open terrain, that could be something like isometric turn-based ME1 Mako combat, which sounds kind of fun

That would be bit lame. I don't expect 50% of the battles being vehicle vs. vehicle combat, but at least some of it.
It could still upgrade the normal combat, but I wonder if that would really be worth implanting it that way.
