because you're a fag

Dcannons are fucking amazing, except when they're strapped to a slowly walking mech thing, undermining the high speed of every other eldar unit.

Its almost as if they're balanced, trading speed for lethality and durability.
As balanced as Eldar can be, anyway.

Strap Yourselves In Pathfinder: Wrath

I got some Starcraft 2 campaign vibes from the video.

So uh, any German speaking bro want to translate the gist of the video?

Not exactly a lot of substance, and mostly shit that was already known. Some other bits:

- Presentation focused on spehs muhrines, who are mostly reliant on "surprise tactics" such as drop pods and jump marines.
- Base building is in, more advanced than in DoW2 and overall importante, but Reric refused to say too much aboot it.
- DoW2 awesome buttons seem to be in again :negative:
- It seems suppressing fire is in because the Knight can load up a barrage of it, but I didn't really see any effects in the vid.

Or not. The relic unit and gaburiel seem to have them, but that's fine and not much different from dow1. Elder plasma nades detonated immediately after being thrown, which is def not dow2 approach.

Armies look pretty big from that video. Much hype.

Link to stream if anyone wants to watch along.

They definitely need to get Gabriel Angelos' original voice actor.

edit: I didn't realize the entire presentation would be 3 minutes long.

Interesting video! If that is really close to final "gameplay", I'd say:
A) The scale has gone up a lot from DOW2. 10+ squads per side.
B) It kinda feels almost like Total War type of tactics here, with two armies in battlelines. Which kinda would mean more emphasis on unit positioning...
C) ...which is great! Love the classic WH40k stoick style combat here, with two huge forces kinda just meeting out in the open like in the middle-ages.

Let's hope the final gameplay really is close to this, at least I do!

What's the point of all these absurd weapons and effects if they do no damage? Just looks absurd.

No Chaos - No Play.

Also, trailer is gritty and detailed. Game is cartoonish. Topkek.

Titans ruin the Dreads feel on the battlefield. Bigger is not better.

Don't like the particle effects, especially on the asm chainswords. They look like yellow lightsabres.

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
What the hell is with Gabriel Angelos hopping like a frog with Diablo III particle effects? Why are they manually ordering units to fire flamers? Where's cover?
I hope it's just something they put together for the promo and the final game will be better but I also know what they say about hope.

iirc, when I played Epic, the Paladin Knight mini titans were not really better than a Land Raider.
The heavier versions (Crusader and Castellan) were a bit stronger, but they were just as strong as a Baneblade.
