STALLIONS

Eulos took off his tunic showcasing the pristine glory of his body and joined the others bold young contenders.
They firmly hold the poles of the chariots, flexing the powerful curve of their backs, their muscled silhouettes shining in the sun, not even Posyedon ever had in his stables such majestic mounts.
At the signal of the high priest they ran, galloping swift like the wind, their manly manes wildly waving as they clobbered the ground with their heels.
The fracass of the chariots was drowned by the cheer of the crowd as Eulos took the lead with powerful and confident strides.
His was the victory as fate decreed, but such modest and corageous young man won't dwell too long in his well earned glory, humbly he joined the ranks of his peers tired but eager to prove himself again.
Thus a new trial is prepared, Stone Throwing, where heavy rocks will be launched as far as possible using both arms.
Should Eulos try this too?

A - Heracles ran for a whole year after the golden hind. I don't think he would approve of laziness.

THE FALL

Full of intrepid spirit Eulos joined the new trial.
Different rocks of various sizes lied on the ground ready to test the mettle of the young folllowers of the cult of strenght.
With enthusiasm they affronted the competitions, like flocks of swallows stones and rocks crossed the sky, rows after rows until the biggest boulders were all that was left.
Only Eulos and another contender remained, Karios his name, twice the size of Eulos he confidently grabbed the biggest stone available, muscles bursting out of the skin, eyes bulging out of the orbits, the face crimson for the titanic effort he finally managed to throw the boulder few meters away.
The crowd cheered for such feat, eagearly awaiting for Eulos to try to emulate it.
The young man grabbed the vicious stone with a grip of steel, his noble lineaments unaltered by the strenuous effort, here he lifted the boulder over his head.
Alas the envious Erris interfered making Eulos ' feet to slip at the apex of his effort causing the boulder he was holding to crash down in front of him.
The disappointment of his peers was palpable but was soon replaced by the acclamations for the winner.
Despite the undeserved defeat Eulos was still ready to continue the trials but the developement of a sense of fatigue made him pause for a moment.

Considering that four A votes are in and usually six people vote this is settled, A won.
The next trial is Atlus Globes.

Atlus Globes rolled: 31
Eulos rolled: 51 (+1 bonus FSG) (-3 temporary malus)= 49

You won and gained +1 points for the Feats of Strenght Gauge that is now +2

THE DISC OF THE SUN

The high priest was the one doing the services for the Atlus Globes trials and held a brief speech for the prospect emulators of the god of strenght.
-Now you will try to perform a feat akin to what our god once did when he took upon himself the duty of Atlus and supported the whole of the firmament on his back, yours will be very miniscule by comparison, but be mindful and respectful of it noneteheless because of its significance, let's proceed.-
Stone globes of various dimensions were lined up in the courtyard ready to be lifted and supported over their head by the competitors
Karios advanced full of arrogance pushing aside the others and after choosing the biggest stone he piled up on it three other smaller stones eliciting the general stupor, then grunting, puffing and huffing he managed to raise it over his head while balancing the unstable globes, then with a satisfied grunt he let them go down crashing on the ground, a smug grin on his face.
Eulos undeterred by that show proceeded to do the same with utmost grace and elegance, his noble forehead clear and his gaze intrepid.
Astonished the priests started to debate what to do, if declaring a draw or searching for bigger stones, then, from the edge of the disc of the sun, certainly sent directly by Hapellos, a white dove come, descending on the templeyard, full of grace she perched herself at the top of the globes held by Eulos.
A roaring cheer from the crowd welcomed this sign of the gods proclaiming Eulos the victor.
Eulos gently put the globes on the ground, the dove still on them, and let the priests take care of the stones blessed by the dove when she flow away.
After this sacred moment the trials started anew, now was the turn of wrestling.

B. Just to know though: would resting remove all of our temporary penalties, or only reduce these by 1 or two?

The malus of -4 is not nearly enough to deter anyone when we are rolling a d100. There is a less than 4% chance that is will affect anything.

A until something changes or the malus becomes -20 or something meaningful. :M

It's hard to balance, on one hand too light modifiers are basically pointless, on the other if they are too heavy they make the rolling meaningless.

I'd put it that way.

<5 - meaningless
<10 - light
<20 - moderate
<30 - serious
<40 - critical
<50 - good luck, sucker, you'll need it

Considering we have been going at it for several contests, I would imagine us to be at a moderate stage.

Not sure what you mean by making rolling meaningless. For example, if the task has a difficulty of 60, we only have a 40% chance of winning. With a -10 modifier it drops to a 30% chance. There are precicely 10 outcomes that the modifier changes, out ot 100. And 30% is still a decent probability of success.

Considering how easy it is to get rid of the negative modifier (we only need to rest), there really is no point in pulling punches.
