WAIT, WHAT'S THIS?
In 2007, a KOTOR Modder (Yeah, a modding community for these games does exist) named Silveredge9 released a mod, Brotherhood of Shadow, a modification for the first Knights of the Old Republic game, adding a load of new content, a whole new questline, to the main game.
In 2009, Silveredge released the sequel, Brotherhood of Shadow: Solomon's Revenge. Not only was this a sequel, also included was the first mod, completely revamped with new textures, better writing and of course a changed ending so that it ties into the sequel.
Here's the Filefront review if anyone is interested.
I'm going to play through this mod, from start to finish. It is actually a great mod, and nowadays it would probably be DLC-worthy as the amount of content and the quality of the said content is amazing.

Allright, let's get started!
01 - Favor for a Rodian
We start off in Dreshdae, Korriban, for now, I've taken HK-47 and Canderous (they're the least wimpy of the bunch)
To start the mod, you need to get to the cantina, get close enough to this Rodian NPC and you'll trigger his dialouge.
I am in need of your help. I'm currently in a buisiness negotiation wi...
I am not here to run errands for you, Rodian.
...With an organisation called the Exchange. I'm sure you've heard of them, yes?
Smugglers, murderers, mercenaries... the Exchange are scum.
Yes, that is the Exchange I know.
I was scheduled to represent the Orion in a meeting with one of the Exchange newest and most ruthless members, Daemon Drexl. A man who himself was once the Orion's captain.
The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the delivery of a certain "merchandise" that Daemon Drexl - whilst as captain - had promised to deliver to his allies in the Exchange as a token of his gratitude. The Orion's new captian has now decided that it would no longer be appropriate of us to deliver that "merchandise".
Oh... sounds like nothing could go wrong at all...
Well we're not stupid
What exactly is this "merchandise"?
The "merchandise" is an item of great importance. Beyond that, I cannot say more.
Why do you need me?
Daemon Drexl fully expects that we will conform to his demands and relinquish to him the "merchandise". When he learns that we have decided against that, he will not be pleased. This is why we need someone to take my place and weather the consequences of his anger. Someone like you.
So what he 'really' needs is someone to play as his meat shield and take all the blame... Just fucking great.
Where will this meeting take place?
Instead of asking why in the name of the seven kingdoms we would allow ourselves to be used like that and display some sense of self preservation, instead we opt for determined curiousity... (Just like in most RPGs)
The meeting was arranged to take place on the Outer Rim world of Tatooine. There you will be safe from the prying eyes of the Republic, or the Sith.
Didn't Obi-Wan call Tatooine a wretched hive of scum and villainy?
Oh well... adventure awaits!
I don't work for free, Rodian.
Yes, a reward will await you on your return. Thank you for your help Codexer.
Now all we need to do is get to Tato-
Oh for fuck's sake I forgot about the crappy X-Wing type shooting sequence, which pops up when you're traveling between planets. It doesn't always trigger, but when it does you never really expected (or wanted) it. What's so stupid about this miningame is that the fighters are very hard to hit, and only when they come at you from a certain direction/angle can you score a hit.
Pfew, last of em...
Anyway, here we are on Tatooine. It doesn't take to long to find Drexl, who is surrounded by his goons and droids. What could possibly go wrong?
I think it's a nice touch Silveredge9 didn't think about just writing a great story addon for KOTOR. He also managed to include some roleplaying options, these aren't neccesarily dark vs. light, more of playing a different 'attitude'.
How do you know that name? Are you part of the surveillance team?
I am here on behalf of the Rodian Drix Keliwt. I am attending this meeting in his place.
I had known that the Rodian was a fool, but not that he was also a coward. It seems his new captain has become soft on his crew and weakness has formed where there was once strength.
Well it's not your ship anymore Drexl, sod off.
He has his reasons, I assure you.
Then this topic is no longer worthy of our discussion. Shall we move onto more pressing matters?
I assume that the Rodian has informed you of the situation? He is to relinquish to me the item of great importance that I was schedulded to deliver to an associate of mine whilst I was still the Orion's captain. It is a simple transaction, nothing more.
I am well aware of the details.
Then our buisness is now concluded. The Orion will deliver the "merchandise" to the agreed location, and I will deposit a generous sum of credits into one of the Orion's Nar Shaddaa bank accounts.
What is the deal with this damn "merchandise" anyway?
Wow, the 2nd option is just too good not to pick
Uhm... wait what?
Luckily the fight isn't too hard. Drexl has a blaster by default, but will switch to melee if we get in close. He has two droids backing him up, as well as 6 goons who Canderous and HK are dealing with.
It certainly helps my character is a level 19 Jedi and he's horribly overpowered at this point. Force storm can take care of pretty much anything.
I wonder what gave me away? My lightsabers? My force storm? Or the fact I was wearing Jedi robes and waving my sabers around the whole time...
And he runs away like a little baby.. Just look at him run, that is the sight of someone who has completely given up.
Oh well.. at least nobody died.
Ecxept for a few thugs and a few droids
Oh and Drexl wasn't too happy. Let's tell Drix
As you requested, I have met with Daemon Drexl.
You have? What happened?
We spoke, we fought, and I emerged victorious.
Then the meeting has turned out as I had feared. I was right to seek your help.
What has happened to Daemon Drexl? You have killed him, yes?
Daemon Drexl still lives. He escaped.
Even in defeat Daemon Drexl will not give up. He will still devote his efforts and the entirety of his resources to claiming this "merchandise" for himself. He was always stubborn... even as captain.
That isn't my problem, I have fulfilled my part of the bargain.
Here is the reward as promised.
Again I thank you for your help Codexer. I see now it was wise to enlist you.
Which is why I must as of you another favor. In your absence I discussed the situation with my cap'n and he is very interested in enlisting your aid for what is now a very important venture.
It is too dangerous for me to linger here. You must visit the Anchorhead cantina on the planet of Tatooine and seek out a Bith named Ponda H'tiba. He will tell you everything.
Here's where you get the chance to stop the questline. It makes sense, seeing how Drix put us in danger because he's such a coward. To continue with the mod we have to 'consider' (read accept) his offer.
Well if you stress it that much, he's gotta be important...
Anyway, one quick trip to Tatooine (luckily no fighters this time)
Please, all you need is two lightsabers upgraded to the max, force storm and a very exploitable game engine.
And so... it begins...
