        Well, for one, there is Virgin Steele, which is in some ways similar to Bal-Sagoth. They make heavy use of symphonic elements, have some concept-albums with a central story arc, and the vocals are sometimes in a kind of narrative style, too. They're very different stylistically and closer to 80s heavy metal/power metal, though.
