Da Game Boyz reviews Fallout Tactics ( Review ) posted by Vault Dweller on Fri 09 July 2004, 17:18:50 More info on Fallout Tactics - More info on Micro Forte
Blast from the past! A site called Da Gamers Boyz has posted a very amusing review of Fallout Tactics, a game that's "basically took the best part of the first two games and expanded on it: the combat." Enjoy the show!
Here we have a franchise that is founded with a familiar turn-based combat system, but leaps so far forward in terms of engrossing back story and unbridled style that we can't really classify it as part of that genre

The true versatility of the game comes into play when you're given the freedom to achieve this goal in nearly any way you want.
One word: wow!

Tony Oakden Dev Profile @ NMA Fallout ( Interview ) posted by Exitium on Fri 25 June 2004, 06:48:05 More info on Fallout Tactics - More info on Micro Forte - More info on Tony Oakden

Where do you see computer RPGs going?
The main stream titles will be smaller and more linear with higher production values. I hope there will still be independent studios producing more traditional RPG but they’ll have lower production values and so won’t sell to the main stream audience unfortunately.
Sigh. I can't wait for the RPG industry to get back up where Arcanum (arguably the last mainstream real CRPG) left it.
