FileFront got Troika bigwig Leon Boyarsky to do an <a href=http://articles.filefront.com/Vampire_Bloodlines_Interview/;234;;;/article.html>interview [/url] with them about the recently released Vampire Bloodlines.

Q: What are some of the features that will separate Bloodlines from the "rest of the pack," especially from big-name titles like Half-Life 2 and DOOM 3?

A: Well, the most obvious difference between us and HL-2 or Doom3 is that while we have a good amount of action, Bloodlines is a true RPG. I haven’t had a chance to play either of those games yet (and I’m sure they’re both fantastic), but I know that neither of them lets you pick the character you want to play and then develop that character in the direction of your choosing. And since they don’t let you pick your character, there’s no NPC reaction to the different character types you may be playing, etc.
Based on some of the responses, the interview seems to have been done before release, so there's really just a lot of optimism in there.
