Gamers Europe trashes Spells of Gold

Gamers Europe has posted a less then favorable opinion of Spells of Gold, a trading RPG that is, apparently, merely a "basic trading game" that doesn't deserve more then 1(!) out of 10.

So what the hell is this game? The main problem I have with Spells of Gold is that for all it tries it is not an RPG. Its is in fact a basic trading game, but rather than embrace this medium it seems the makers got scared and have attempted to half heartedly attach a substandard role playing game onto it. This results in the whole experience feeling half done with no areas allowed to shine. Graphics and sound are poor, plot is hidden to the point of non-existence and the RPG element is laughable to say the least. If you like having nothing to do other than travel from place to place selling your wares and you can’t, get a job as a gypsy – then you may find some merit in here. But for the rest of us I can only advise you to steer clear.
It's a shame. First, Freelancer, then this. God bless the EVN developers.
