Spiderweb Software, the developer of such retro-RPGs as Geneforge, and the Avernum series, have released the third game of this series, the creatively named Avernum 3.

Avernum 3 claims to be, like its predecessors, a massive, and completely open ended single-player RPG for those longing for the golden years of PC role playing, due to its classical, non-linear gameplay.

A 12 megabyte demo is also on offer at their site.
