HomeLan posted a short preview of Sacred that doesn't tell you anything you didn't know before. However, if you have no clue what Sacred is, then take a look

The game itself is pretty vast on its own and even when you first start the game you quickly get into the organized campaign story, along with a number of other side missions and bonus quests which give Sacred a very well handled non-linear structure. As with most action-RPGs the emphasis is on action with battling humans, elves, monsters and even animals like wolves and bears (there are even non-threatening monsters like deer and bunnies around). The game looks and feels more like a living world rather than an artificial gameplay type situation that you see in most action-RPGs. Speaking of which, fans of role playing still have something to do here with collecting gold and special items and of course gaining experience point that can be used to improve your playable character. Fans of multiplayer will be happy to know that there is support for up to 16 players, with support for four player co-op mode in the single player campaign.
I should start collecting different opinions on what role-playing is all about. Some say it's about combat, others insist that inventory is a key, and the homelan folks believe it's about collecting gold and special items. The mystary deepens!
