There's an interview with Leon "Chef" Boyarsky of Troika Games over at Eye on Troika covering that wacky, gothic, blood sucker game they're working on called, Vampire: the Masquerade - Bloodlines. Here's a clip:

Eye On Troika: How did you end up working with the Vampire: The Masquerade license? What made it such an attractive license to work with?

Leonard Boyarsky: When Valve and Troika decided to work together, we brought the concept of doing an RPG with the Valve Source Engine to Activision. They then suggested the Vampire license, and we thought it was a great idea. With the facial animation system we felt we could really involve the player in the conflicts, political infighting, and in depth dialog/interactions that are so much a part of the Vampire:The Masquerade world. It was also great to work with the Vampire license because there is so much history ? they?ve created a very deep, intricate world in which to set the game. We didn?t have to create a world from scratch.

I happen to like world from scratch, though!

Thanks, Jesse "Mac" Beall!
