Video Game News offers up a whopping four paragraph review of Silverback's action game, Harbinger. They gave it a thumbs up, saying the combat is as dull is cutting cellulose based food with a spoon but it's also fun at the same time.

Harbinger is a lot like Diablo. Except in Harbinger you are in space rather than your typical fantasy. Harbinger copies many aspects of Diablo almost to the letter. I'm not sure if it's based on the Diablo game engine, but it appears to be. You can put that into some perspective, in that Diablo II is already out, and had a number of improvements over the original title, and that was over a year ago. So one can think that Harbinger is a bit dated, and in the game-play department, that would be an accurate description. Of course, there are thousands upon thousands of people who enjoyed Diablo, and it's successor, so why wouldn't they enjoy Harbinger? I think they would. It has the same simplistic game design, and the game is easy enough for a fourth grader to play through to the end. Plus it has the kind of interesting, long to expose, and well laid out story line that RPG gamers crave. It's not earth shattering, but it serves it's purpose to entertain.

Here's why: Because Diablo 2 has a great skill system and offers more depth and customization for characters. It's got random dungeons, random creatures, and multiplayer.
