GamesRadar has posted up a preview of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, which doesn't really say anything new, but is at least an enjoyable read.

Combat is carried out in a way that escapes comparison with any other game. Even though you're running around swinging the lightsaber in a way that looks arcadey, it's not really an action system ? it's based instead on the classic D&D 20-sided dice. Weapons are only drawn when threats are present, so you can't go around hacking anybody and everybody. Also, the two characters following will only kick off with whatever action you've set them (like 'use blaster' or a certain Force skill). When you need a more complex attack sequence (a combination of actions), you can simply select that character and select the sequence for them. It's a unique system and we'll let you know whether or not it works in an upcoming review.

Combat lacks comparason to any other game, except just about every real time with pause CRPG that's been made using BioWare assets?
